New Black Fam – Saga Berlin Grammis nominated Saga Berlin “Nice Guzz” is one of Sweden’s foremost creatives. Through her work with photography and film, she is constantly striving to push the culture forward. Saga has been a part of the New Black family from the very start – since the clubs at Reisen and one of our very first lookbooks. Saga is wearing our Fleckland set, Runorak in navy, Little Signature L/S Tee in Syringa and Classic Jeans in medium wash.

New Black Fam – Eliot 13 year old skater Eliot caught our eye when he started coming to our store-events 2 years ago. Since then he has become part of the New Black Family – hanging at our store and trying to sneak into our clubs.

The New Black F/W19 collection drop 1 is now available online at www.newblack.se, at the New Black store in Stockholm and at select retailers.
This drop is inspired by the Swedish hunting season – Not the actual hunt but the colors and patterns that we associate with it. Mix that with what we do best and you have another season of streetwear classics. Check out the heavy weight sweatshirts in 100% premium cotton, colorful long and short sleeve t-shirts, camouflage patterns and premium denim jeans all made in the EU.
New Black is a unisex brand. Designed in Sweden to fit everyone no matter where you’re from or where you’re at.
“Making a great pair of jeans is not an easy task. Not only is it a difficult product in terms of competition but it’s also one that customers are very picky with. We wanted to make a premium jean, free from rips, tears and whiskers, no compromising with quality and still be able to offer a really good price. We also know how important it is to find your own thing – that one detail that seperates our jeans from the rest. That is why we are so happy with our back pocket embroidery. We feel it’s subtle yet direct, just like New Black’s design has always been.” – Elias Mravec Gillberg, Creative Director
Our jeans are designed to sit at the waist. It’s a 5-pocket jean that is relaxed through hip and thigh and tapered at the ankle. They have a button fly and an Italian flag label at the button hole at the waist. Our signature “N” is embroidered on the back pockets. The 100% denim cotton jeans are handcrafted in Puglia, a southern region forming the heel of Italy’s “boot”.
Our jeans are made to last. We left the stretch, whiskers and scrapings out as we believe a pair of jeans should have a longer life than the stretch fabric allows and that they look best when you’ve worn them in yourself. It’s a classic timeless fit, not too baggy nor too slim but something you’ll be able to wear no matter the trends. We hope you like them as much as we do!
“Once upon a time in Gothenburg I got an offer to make a free tattoo. There was a catch to the offer though, it had to be a fish. I asked my friend to make a drawing of one to give the tattoo artist. Having had one too many this is what he gave me. Having had one too many this is what I asked the artist to ink.”

By producing our clothes in Portugal with durable and high qualities we are not only reducing our carbon emissions but we are also making sure that our clothes last longer, meaning you don’t have to buy new clothes all the time which keeps down consumption
But we wanted to do more.
Today people wear clothes for one season and then it’s tucked down in a box in some basment and never see the day of light again. We want to give garments a longer life than just a season or two. A spark ignited on the train tracks in the rainy harbor city of Gothenburg almost two decades ago. With time the tracks would eventually lead to the birth of an unconditional friendship and a trailblazing clothing brand by the name of New Black – a brand born in culture, raised in it, and constantly pushing it forward.
Elias “Eli” Mravec Gillberg and Andreas “Adde” Ramos Undén met through their mutual love for graffiti. The pair had a natural affinity for one another, and that same sense of connection would play a pivotal part in the success story of the brand. New Black was founded in 2010. Back then, the collection consisted of a total of five t-shirts. A true friends and family operation that adapted guerrilla marketing tactics to make a name on the scene. A couple of years later, New Black is worn by Hollywood actors, top tier athletes and international music artists. Every single one wearing the logo by choice and thus becoming a member of the constantly growing New Black family – a creative community and cultural centerpiece.
When stating that something is fashionable, we often say that it is “the new black”. Contrary to the name, the brand always focuses on moving culture forward rather than capitalizing on current trends, constantly staying true to themselves and others. New Black is style that breathes authenticity – a meeting between fashion and statement. A natural affinity.
The New Black family are excited to announce the future of our flagship store and online shop as you know it! Starting today New Black will shift into a multi-brand concept, expanding its clothing assortment and serving sneakers to it. Stay tuned as items will be added to the website continuously!
New Black and Goran Kling team up once again. With the Swedish election coming up this weekend we wanted to take the opportunity and stand up against racism, sexism and homophobia. The limited t-shirt is exclusively available in our store on Maria Prästgårdsgata 15 in Stockholm and on Tradera (link in bio) and the 1/1 jewlery will only be avaliable at Tradera.
All proceeds are going to Expo and their fight to expose and diminish racism.
We’ve teamed up with Swedish independent record label Team Platina for a very limited t-shirt. The black t-shirt has Alla Ska Äta (Everybody Eats) printed across the chest and a small Team Platina New Black print below the neck.

Sthlm Signs is a Stockholm based company founded in 2016 by Henrik Lindquist and Pontus Bergman focusing on sign painting and true craftsmanship.
Up until the late 80’s you’d still see hand painted murals, branded trucks or shop window designs made by professional sign painters. Then came the computerization of the industry and as the new technology offered faster and cheaper solutions the sign painter profession died over night.
Over time the appreciation for tradition and craftsmanship has grown strong again and many are now looking back to the roots in order to move forward. Sign painting is making its way back and Sthlm Signs have made it their mission to be the pioneers of the new Swedish wave.
14 years have passed since New Black founders Andreas and Elias first got to know Henrik through their common interest in lettering and graphic design. Their passion for letters have stayed the same ever since and when Pontus reached out about a possible collaboration there wasn’t much to think about.
Brush strokes made by the hands of Sthlm Signs, scanned and made into vector graphic and then screen printed on New Black’s pre-washed 100% cotton t-shirts made in Portugal. Basic, traditional craftsmanship.
